Below are some recommended hotels. This list is not exhaustive, as Naples offers a wide selection of hotels in all categories. We strongly recommend booking your hotel well in advance to ensure availability and the best rates, as September is a peak travel season.

Local Airports and Transportation

Naples can be reached by plane via Naples Capodichino International Airport. 

The airport has excellent connections to major European cities such as London, Paris, Frankfurt, and Munich, as well as major Italian cities such as Milan and Rome via direct flights. It is located 7 km from the city center. 
Participants are advised to fly directly to Naples Capodichino Airport. For information on Naples Airport and flights, please visit: Aeroporto di Capodichino

Alternatively, the best and closest destination is Rome Fiumicino. From this airport, participants should take the “Leonardo Express” train, which departs from platform 24 of the airport train station every 30 minutes (tickets cost €16). The Leonardo Express takes approximately 32 minutes to reach Rome’s Termini Station. For more information on the Leonardo Express, please visit: Leonardo Express From Rome Termini, the Freccia Rossa and Freccia Argento high-speed trains depart every hour for Naples, taking approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Arrival by Train

Naples’ main station is “Napoli Centrale – Piazza Garibaldi.”
Naples has excellent rail connections thanks to high-speed trains (Freccia Rossa or Freccia Argento) to all major Italian cities. For more information and schedules, visit the Trenitalia website.

The station is connected to the city center by subway, public buses, or taxi. To get from Central Station to your final destination, you can take a taxi or the subway.
 

Transportation to the City Center

Alibus

To travel from Capodichino International Airport or Central Station to Naples city center, you can take the private Alibus bus. You can purchase tickets on board or online . The “Single Alibus” ticket allows a single ride on the Alibus shuttle, from Naples International Airport to Central Station or vice versa. The ticket costs € 5.00, and buses depart every 25 minutes, from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Metro

Currently, the airport is not served by any rail system. To travel from Central Station to Naples city center, you can use the metro. Metro Map

Taxi

The taxi lane is located outside the airport and at the main exit of the station. Fixed fares are available for predetermined urban and suburban routes (Fuorigrotta, City Center, Molo Beverello, Mergellina, Pompeii). Fixed fares include all surcharges (to/from the airport, night trips, holidays, luggage, and pets). These fares do not require a taximeter. The fixed fare is valid for the total number of passengers on board the taxi. For information on fixed fares, click here.
